Hello i’m kurt owen one of the things people  in churches say to me is: “well, why do you even  learn self-defense?, why do you teach  people all these things? why do you train  in all these things?  why do you believe in church security?  why don’t you just trust  god? Why? we’re supposed to live by  faith”

Well,  let me share with you something that a  man of faith did, this is in mark chapter 3 verse 7 but  jesus was true with his disciples  and a great multitude from galilee  followed him  and from judea jerusalem edema and  beyond the jordan and those from tyre  and sidon a great multitude when they  heard how many things he was doing  came to him now notice this verse 9 so  he told his disciples that a small  boat should be kept ready for him  because of the multitude  lest they should crush him.

are you  telling me that jesus  was not living by faith because he took  a natural thing? he took a boat, this is  the reason  we call people that protect ministers, i  like to call them the boatmen  because now we’re the boat, that the  ministers have to keep the people from  thronging them and crushing them.

these things that we’re talking about  during this time. these are little boats  that you can use in your life. and listen: i expect you to still trust god  i expect you not to trust in my tips for  your deliverance  but trust in the lord on the other side  of it . there’s nothing wrong with proverbs says:  it like this the horse is prepared for  the day of battle but deliverances of  the lord.

you want to know what? i’m going to trust  god for my deliverance  but i still have to prepare the horse  for the day of battle.

i hope this helps  you to understand  that we stay in faith consistently and  constantly just like jesus did  but there’s nothing wrong with having a  boat offshore to keep the people from  thronging you  and crushing you. you’re still trusting  god.
